After Monday’s very difficult loss to the same SJP2 team, Nauset came a bit slow in the top of the first inning. JD Dysart gave up an earned run on three hits while striking out two. Down 1-0, the Nauset Warriors did not get down on themselves as they put up six runs of their own. Three hits, two errors, a walk and a hit-batsman accounted for the runs and the Warriors got all they needed. Dysart settled down and threw three innings giving way to Casey Quinn. Quinn also dominated on the mound giving up one run on two hits and one walk. Mac Labarge came in to pitch the seventh and recorded three strikeouts on 12 pitches. Pounding out 12 hits in all, the Warriors were led by Connor Canesi (2 for 4, 2 runs scored), Sam Palmer (2 for 3 with a monster triple) and JD Dysart (3 for 4 singles and a double).

The team met two of its three goals today:

1. Pitchers will throw 4 or less pitches to 50% of batters MET (19 of 32 59%) Awesome  
2. 35% of our at bats will be Quality At Bats MET (22 of 41 54%) Outstanding
3. Limit our mental and physical errors to four or less NOT MET (3 missed signs and 2 errors) Almost there
