Nauset traveled to Plymouth South for an ACL match with the Panthers on Wednesday. The teams played to a scoreless first half with much of the play in the middle of the field. The defenses were tight and did not yield many opportunities. Plymouth South came out in the second half and put the Warriors under pressure. Dylan Bengston was called upon 3 minutes in and made an excellent diving save to his right, parrying the ball around the post. The Panthers kept the pressure up but could not score. Chad Avery, Sean O'Sullivan and Alex Cowing making key plays to keep them off the board. The Warriors settled down and went on the attack half way through the second half but were unable to tuck one home. Nauset was pressing to keep the ball in the attacking end when at the 30th minute the Panthers played a ball behind the back line and scored on a breakaway. Nauset was unable to equalize in the remaining 5 minutes and lost 1-0. Will Sutton, Tyler Callahan and Will Shackleford all played well in the midfield for the Warriors.
