Th Nauset Warriors suffered a heartbreaking loss to Marshfield on a beautiful fall afternoon on Cape Cod. The Warriors battled the guests evenly for the entire match. Nauset took a lead in the 8th minute when Graham Larson's direct free kick was blasted past the Marshfield goalkeeper from 24 yards out. Marshfield evened the score in the 25th minute. The two teams played an entertaining, open, up and down game for much of the first half. Lucciano Abbate preserved the tie in the 28th minute when he cleared a ball off the line.

The evenly matched teams continued the back and forth play for most of the second half. The guests did a smash and grab of the points as they scored with 5 seconds left in the match.

Nauset's defense of Sean O'Sullivan, Dylan Fox, Jack Loomis, Alex Cowing, Jody Fish, Lucciano Abbate, Colin Ridley and goalkeeper Dylan Bengston were called on to make many plays and played well in the loss.
