Bus legs got the better of the squad for the first 10 minutes of the game and we were on the back foot.  Small and narrow field meant that we had to be first to ball and play quickly and for the first part of the game we did neither.  Two elements of our game kept us stabilized and their names were Owen Wilcox and Connor Canesy.  Owen tracked every ball and timed every header and clearance.  Connor Canesy showed extraordinary poise not only by making the timely saves but also by communicating with the defense and inspiring confidence in the rest of the team.   A box scramble resulting from a Mente McMillan corner kick allowed Ryan Pish a touch on the ball which rebounded off the back of a Sandwich defender and into the goal for the game's only score.  Mike Newton gave the warriors their best shot on goal in the second half but the Blue Knight keeper came up with a big save. James Sandison and Colin were strong off the bench.   Connor saw us through to the end in the net, however, and for his efforts is recognized as man of the match.
