JV boys soccer wrapped up their 12-2-3 season in style with a 4-2 win over ACL rival Falmouth. Warriors had most of the possession, shots, and control over the pace of the game. Despite being roll marked the entire game, holding midfielder Ben Mulholland still controlled the 50-50 balls and helped to build dangerous attacks. One such attack occurred 8 minutes into the contest when Ben crossed to Alex Drown for the first Warrior goal. 10 minutes after that Aidan Salzano played a dangerous ball across the 18 to Ozzy Perez who in turn played the ball to Bryan Gass who put the ball far post for Aidan to finish Salzano-slide-tackle style. In the second half, Ozzy drew a foul in the box which sent Vance Bates to the spot to finish a PK to make it 3-0. Falmouth capitalized on two well-executed corners to draw within one goal. Vance added the insurance goal off of a box scramble with 10 minutes remaining.
Daiver Perez and Sawyer Bengston turned in particularly strong defensive performances, and Mente McMillan and Ryan Pish worked hard to help the warriors maintain possession in the midfield. Thanks to all players for an excellent season. Pizza wrap up party on Tuesday after school at the Red Barn!
