Flyin' Brian Brooks crushed the competition, beating the next competitor by 46 seconds and led the Warriors to an inpressive win over Falmouth, 26 to 31. After a tough few weeks of sickness and injury, the team came back almost complete (still missing top 5 man Ryan Guiliano) and ran a very gutsy race todefeat an unsuspecting Falmouth team. Each one of the boys really g deep to run hard and pass every runner they could to win.
Jake Avery raced for the first time after a muscle pull cruising with a 6:02 mile pace to finish in 4th place. Andrew McKenzie ran 22 seconds faster in his mile pace after being outfor three weeks and placed 7th. The pack of Koki Riley, Jordan Dash (returning after a hip injury) and Andrew Grattan ran with McKenzie to place 6th, 8th, and 9th which is what the Warriers needed to win.
Tim Muse ran a faster mile split and finished a strong 12th, newcomber Luke Savini, freshman Keenan Pombo, and Noah Smith piled in at 16th, 17th, and 18th (Keenan bettered his mile split by 30 seconds). Jack Norgeot and Taigh Lawless finished up for Nauset at 23rd and 26th. Great job gentlemen, a win well deserved!
