Nauset ran a very strong race against a powerful and big (36 runners) Marshfield team. They were impressed with Nausets ability to crack their top 10 runners. Brian Brooks (18:03) let it be know early he would not be defeated and led the whole way winning by 18 seconds over Marshfields first runner. Dylan McDonough (18:22) was Nausets second runner and suprised Marshfield by taking on their lead pack coming in 5th overall but was only one second behind places 2through 4. He improved his time by 20 seconds. Jake Whitfield 14th 19:18) and Jake Eldridge (15th 19:29) were Nauset 3rd and 4th runners who battled with Marshfield the whole way ( Jake Eldridge improved his course best by 20 seconds). Koki Riley was Nausets 5th scorer coming in 20th with 20:18. Although the team lost in points, it was a real racing victory for the team by shaking up Marshfield and impressing them at the same time.
