Nauset Boys XC win Again, 18-37 vs. Falmouth
in the last home meet and the last dual meet of the season, the Nauset boys ran yet another dominating race easily defeating their opponents, despite missing varsity runner and captain Jake Avery 9due to illness) and senior captain Jack Norgeot as well as injured runners Colin Nobili, Luke Savini, Hunter MacDonald, Jacob Pooler, and Andrew Grattan.
The team took six of the top ten places with Brian Brooks 18:05 leading the whole way and keeping his unbeaten streak perfect for the season!
Dylan DcDonough 18:41 was his usual 2nd place, while Jake whitfield 19:25, Jake eldridge 19:36 and Koki Riley 19:41 ran as an unbreakable group placing 4th, 5th, and 6th. Freshman Max Christopher 20:44 came in 9th and PR'd his time by 30 seconds!(impressive after being out over a week due to illness.)
Captain Ryan Guiliano ran a great race 20:49 placing 12th overall. Ryan has had a lot of knee problems this season and has been unable to compete, but he finially had a chance to run his last dual meet at home as a senior. Congradulations Ryan.
Keenan Pombo 21:08 ran a super race as well 14th, setting a PR by 24 seconds, and right behind him in15th was Noah Smith 21:39.
Taigh Lawless 23:56 finished his senior home XC race with a PR by 24 seconds.
A freshman trio of Brendan Hamaty 19th 25:59, Christian Beer 20th 26:47(PR by 23 seconds) and Cameron MacMartin 21st 27:23, PR by 1:23 had a strong finish, as did Linus Mailwitz 22nd 27:26, PR by 2:45!
Commendably performances by the team. We are looking forward to all the big invitational races coming up.
