Nauset wins with 23 vs Barnstable 32

The Nauset Boys XC Team ran an increadible race against a loaded Barnstable team to win 23 to 32.

They knew it was going to be a big challenge to try and break up Barnstable's solid pack of front runners and decided to take it on. At the beginning of the race it didnt look like Barnstable could be seperated but somewhere in the woods Nauset took charge and dug deep to pick Barnstable apart.

Their determination was a success led handily by Brian Brooks' 53 second lead. New comer Jake Pearl continued the power surge by placing 2nd and PR-ing at the same time. It was Jake Whitfield who came out of his shell and slammed Barnstable with a %th place finish and a PR by 71 seconds! Following suit and placeing 7th and 8th were Dylan McDonough (PR by 38secs) and Captain Koki Riley (PR by 46 secs), shutting the door on Barnstable's chance for a win.

Nausets victory was an increadible effort by the WHOLE team. Every single runner fought for their place and they all bettered their times. Congradulations on a well deserved win, You made Nauset proud!
