Boys Varsity Cross Country vs. Multiple Opponents

Game Date
Oct 15, 2016

Nauset Boys XC didn't have as many runners competing in this years Twilight Invitational due to injuries but the boys that did go had great races.

For freshmen Aidan Dill 92nd 12:57, Tyler Hutchinson 157th 13:36 and Kieran Norton 179th 13:47, the 2.1 mile course was quick and they all bettered their mile paces while learning what it is like to run against 265 other runners!

The rest of the races at 3.1mi proved to be personal bests and some great finishes. Noah Smith was our solo Nauset Warrior to step on the line in the JV race with 185 other runners to PR by 23seconds with a time of 20:46.

The Sophomre race was a thriller with first time cross country runner Jake Pearl finishing in an amazing 4th place (of 258) and improving his time by 48 seconds! Max Christopher ran a great race as well with a PR of 23seconds at 19:53. Brendan Hamaty proudly earned a place on the sophomore race this year and ran a tough race despite a tough cramp and finished at 23:12.

Completing the night were three incredibly tough runners in the varsity Division 2 race. Brian Brooks, Koki Riley, and Jake Whitfield flew out of the start to be the first three runners to enter the narrow poles enterance at the beginning of the race so they wouldn't be stuck behind 260 other runners. they then settled in and all PR'd this years 3.1mi times. Brian was 7th with 16:07 (pr by 37 seconds), Koki burned through the course coming in 84th with 17:48 (pr by 55 seconds and finishing strong after being sick for a week), and Jake placed 104th with 17:59 (8 second pr).

Once again a stellar perfomance by the Nauset Warriors.
