Nauset Boys XC wins 22-35 over D-Y,  more to come.

The Nauset Boys XC team had a strong win against Dennis Yarmouth and Nantucket on Tuesday beating them 22-35. Brian Brooks and Jake Pearl captured 1st and 2nd easily while Jake Whitfield ran a strong race capturing 4th place and improving his mile split time by two seconds even though he ran a half marathon two days prior!

Most impressive was the group of four Nauset runners as a pack that D-Y and Nantucket could not break up. Mat Daniels-Diehl led coming in 9th overall and improving his split time by 22 seconds, in 10th was Finn Riley, then Aidan Dill, 11th, with split improvement of twelve seconds, and finially Max Christopher in 12th, improving his mile split by fifteen seconds.

Other great performances were by Tyler Hutchinson, improved split by 30 seconds (even with a severe abdominal cramp) still ran for the team, Hunter Macdonald by 1 minute, Zach Roth by a minute, and Ben Ellis by 23 seconds. It was a tough race for some who were overcome by the humidity and cramps. Lucien Seiser got a tough muscle pull on a downhill which will sideline him for a bit.
