2.92 mile race

The race was 2 loops on a challenging and rather "rocky" course.  One major hill with roots everywhere made footing difficult. Otherwise, a nice course for spectators as runners could be seen in a couple of different spots. Rain began to fall as soon as the race started. Runners didn't seem to mind as it was a humid day and seemed to cool everyone off. Running well for Nauset were the "fab-5": Robyn Argo who took 1st place by over :40 sec and broke the 20 min mark, Sarah Knop, who placed 3rd with a personal best time of 20:42, Jenny Leyton- #6 at 21:47, Marina Wells- only :10 behind, good for 7th and rounding out in the last scoring and very IMPORTANT position at #9 overall was Haley Van Ness. The Nauset Women Warriors ran strong and were determined. They had spirit and optimism going into the race. Our top 5 girls were the key to victory today as each dropped significant time from the earlier meets of the season.

Irene Lynch and Ally Kemp snuck into the top 15 overall as they placed #12 and #15 respectively! (out of 37 runners)
