NAUSET WOMEN WARRIORS STRIKE AGAIN! And defeat XC powerhouse Plymouth North for THE FIRST TIME IN 16 years!!!!! Coach John Laverty from Ply-North personally congratulated the lady warriors for their hard work and improvements. The meet was tight from start to finish. Nicole Borofski from PN led from the start with an incredible fast pace early on. Nauset Top runner Robyn Argo hung on for a while, (going out faster than normal) but suffered from a cramp shortly after the first mile mark. She hung tough but couldn't keep her normal pace today. Still, even being a minute off her usual time, she placed second and made team mate Sarh Knop chase her down in the last quarter mile. The two Nauset sr. captains were separated by only one second. Argo at 21:20 and Knop at 21:21. Good news for Knop as she set a personal best time! 4th place went to PN while 5th and 6th went to Nauset. Sr. Captain Marina Wells had the meet of her life today dropping over one minute from her previous best 5k and grabbed the #5 spot. The #6 spot went to Jenny Leyton who also dropped some time today(aprox :10 sec). PN went 7th, 8th, and 9th, and Haley Van Ness of Nauset placed 10th. The 3 point win margin is significantly credited to Leyton and Wells who displaced Emily Cleland , PN's #3 runner. That effort was huge.

Other Nauset runners setting personal best times today were: Ally Kemp, Julia Renaud and Nicole Kumiega. Congrats to Alex Malloy who is back running with the team! Thanks to Mrs. Clancy for the inspirational pep talk again! Conditions today were: light drizzle, light wind. Alot of waiting around as PN was late and took longer than expected in their warm-up. The meet didn't start until 4:45pm! None-the-less Nauset kept the spirit going and hung tough during the after school down time, stretching, pep talks etc!!! LOVE THIS YEARS TEAM!!!!!THE BEST EVER!!!!!
