Nauset loses to DY 32-25 (7 pt margin) but records its best ever performance against the perenial XC powerhouse. Under the direction of coach Katie McCully (this year being just the 4th) the Nauset team has never come this close! 4 nauset runners placed in the top "ten" over all!

Robyn Argo PLACED 2ND and had a career best as she blazed across the finish line under 20 min! Her 19:56 will go down as her new team record. Good thing, because this was her last chance to run the home course as it was the seniors last hm meet of the season. The senior girls were awarded flowers and balloons (prior to the start) to mark their tremendous season and leadership on the Nauset women warriors XC team. Sarah Knop placed 4th and also recorded her career best, running a 20:45. Freshman Jenny Leyton was key in the scoring today as she placed 5th and dropped approx. :15 sec from her previous best time. DY had strong depth as they then placed #6-9th. 10th place went to sr. captain Marina Wells while Haley Van Ness managed an 11th spot and also dropped :12 sec off her previous mark.

Despite the loss today, Nauset had winners throughout! 9 RUNNERS had PB's today. Hats off to the additional runners for getting career best times:

Ally Kemp, Addie Boyd, Julia Renaud, Margaret Clancy, and Alex Malloy.
