Nauset confirms second BEST in league for the 2010 season!

Congrats to the Women Warriors. Beautiful day, challenging course with plenty of hills!!!! Everyone had PB's!! Great energy today, the Nauset Warriors were pumped and had positive thoughts from the early morning course tour, through the CRAZY and FUN warmup to the meet start itself. (to the brave ones that let loose in the dance circle: you rock!) Way to stay focused...lets do it again next weekend at the state coaches meet. Highlights in today's ACL championships had to include Robyn Argo's 17:26 and 3rd place overall finish. Sarah Knop's 6th place finish (18:04) and more impressive: placing ahead of Keagan Kolmer from DY (who had edged out Sarah in our earlier DY/Nauset dual). Jenny Leyton's 12th place finish in 18:41 and her sneaking in ahead of Marshfield's Moreau by :11 sec, and DY's Emma Harney by over :20 -showcasing that in fact she should have been an ACL top 13 all-star!!!! She's an ALL-STAR to us. Marina Wells, Haley Van Ness were also solid today and mangaed top 20 positions. Marina was 17, while Haley placed 19. Ally Kemp kept her #6 spot on the team and Julia Renaud snuck into the #7 spot. We will have to see who can hold the positions next week, before the Franklin Park EasternMA showdown.
