Girls Varsity Cross Country competes at The BIG WAVE XC Invitational

Sr. Capt. Madaket Nobili took home the grand prize today as she won the Jr/Sr race at the Big Wave Invitational held at Apponequet High School.
Covering the 2.5 mile course in 15:00, Nobili ran a controlled race, not taking the lead until almost the first mile marker. Over the next mile and a half she picked up the pace and ran alone to the finish, out kicking her opponents by nearly a minute. Also running well today was Sr. Capt. Tara Ellard. Ellard placed third clocking a 15:59 while freshman runners Izzy Nobili (3rd) 16:17 and Rachel Pranga (6th) 16:31 had stellar performances in the Fr/So race.
