Senior captains Madaket Nobili and Tara Ellard combined for a 1-2 punch as they led the Nauset Warriors in an 18-37 knockout victory in Yarmouth today. Nobili broke the 16 min mark on the 2.69 mile course, blazing to the finish line in 15:46 in what was apparently the fastest time recorded this season. Ellard was stellar as well, grabbing second place in 16:04. Top DY runner, Sydney McCann was third in 16:19. McCann led the first half mile of the race but couldn't hold pace with Nobili and Ellard who proved once again to be an unstoppable combination. Credit is also due to freshman runners: Rachel Pranga 4th- 16:47, Ella Kelly 5th- 16:57, and Izzy Nobili 6th- 17:07 who posted impressive times while also providing Nauset with key points. DY had a strong mid pack of six runners that placed 7th-12th. (18:00-19:25) While the next two runners in for Nauset, Hannah Brunelle 13th- 19:33 and Rebekah Pranga 14th- 19:44 were close behind.

Nauset will face Sandwich HS for the ACL title on October 17 at home.
