The Nauset girls were impressive today as they defeated Canton 17-45 at home. Despite the hot and humid conditions, Nauset's front runners ran strong throughout the newly designed 5k course. Abby Farrell and Izzy Nobili were 1-2 across the line posting 20:51 and 20:56 respectively. Ella Kelly was close behind grabbing the third place overall finish in 21:40. Farrell and Nobili ran side by side for 3 miles until Farrell broke away in the final stretch taking the first place win and setting a new course record in the process. Hannah Brunelle crossed the line in 5th place, 23:36, while Makayla Hutchinson was next in at 24:36, good for 6th overall. Maddie Kelly  placed 7th in 24:57 with Rebekah Pranga not far behind in 25:07, taking 9th. Leah Hoopes- 10th 25:43, Mal Fleming- 12th 25:58, Lexie Hoffman- 14th 26:07 and Baily Rose- 15th 28:39 rounded out the places for Nauset. The girls are off to a great start and are led by captains Izzy Nobili and Hannah Brunelle.

Canton placed 4th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 16-19th.
