Nauset competed in a Tri Meet today against Sturgis East and Monomoy High School. The Nauset girls defeated both teams with a 15-48 score. Nauset took the first five places with Rachel Pranga posting the fastest time, 19:26, on the 2.89 mile course. Abby Farrell 19:38, Izzy Nobili 19:59, Ella Kelly 20:20, and Hannah Brunelle 20:52 took 2nd thru 5th place respectively. 6th place went to Sturgis runner Lauren Holmes (21:41) while 7th went to Rebekah Pranga (22:13) of Nauset. Carolyn Davock 8th, 22:16 Monomoy, Marchesi Franchesca 9th, 22:30 Monomoy, and Maddie Kelly 10th, 22:37 Nauset rounded out the top ten.

Also running today was Leah Hoopes 23:54, Evie Rose 24:55, Mal Fleming 24:58 and Bailey Rose 25:13.

The girls enjoyed the course today as it proved to be challenging with various loops and terrain. The course started and finished inside a cemetery. The course then took the runners out to a bike trail which led them into the woods. The final loop had them running up a steep dirt trail which led them back inside the cemetery to the finish. There was a great crowd today and it helped motivate the runners as they kicked across the finish line. The Nauset girls will be competing at the ACL League championship meet in the coming days.
