Nauset Girls Varsity won an overpowering game against Diman Regional Technical High School on Monday, 5-0. Nauset dominated a majority of the game and punished Diman's defense with a strong attacking game.
Haley Benz secured our first goal with a unassisted, powerful corner kick that landed in the goal surprising Diman's goalie and defensive line.
Abby Sullivan stepped up with a hat trick scoring her first goal on a breakaway from midfield to a great shot past the goalie to put Nauset up 2-0 at halftime. Abby scored two more goals in the second half to secure Nauset's lead minutes before the end of the game.
Marielle McEnaney scored Nauset's final goal with a beautiful run from midfield, beating two defenders and nailing a perfect shot past the goalie to end the game.
