The Junior Varsity Field Hockey team opened the 2019 season with a hard-fought loss to a skillful Plymouth North team. With every member of the team earning time on the field throughout the game, the Warriors focused on developing their communication and passing while looking to maintain consistent possession of the ball.
Ninth-grader Kristin Schadt earned the squad's only tally with a goal in the second half of play with just 2:11 to play. Highlights included strong defensive ball control from Katie Frazer, Julia Weiner, and Hailey Martin in the backfield and excellent ball movement in the midfield from Shae MacDonald and Lauren Foley. Goaltenders Mack Fields and Quinn MacDonald split time defending the net, each recording three saves in a heavily defensive game.
The Warriors face Martha's Vineyard in the season home opened Monday, September 9th at 5:15 pm on the grass field.
