Bridgewater Raynam gave Nauset a tough fight Jan 13 when the Warriors traveled to Bridgewater State College to compete in Bay Colony League action. The meet was tied 81-81 going into the last relay but a strong foursome of Kevin Johnson, Jake Avery, John McLoughlin and Jack Johnson proved too difficult for BR- Nauset touched the wall first and won the meet by 6 points.
Swimming well for Nauset included Jack Johnson who had 2 individual second place finishes while also managing personal best times in both- Jake Avery, who grabbed first in the 200 free, and John McLoughlin who won the IM. Kevin Johnson had a nice win in the 100 free and Nick Smith took first in the 500. A second place finish by Carlisle Nash was critical in the 500 as was Kevin Johnson's second place finish in the 200 free.
BR tallied 6 points in Diving which helped them catch up to Nauset after the Warriors jumped out to an early lead in the first 4 events.
It was back and forth the entire meet, but Nauset was strategic in the lineup and saved their strongest 4 swimmers for the final 400 free relay.
