The Boys and Girls Swim Teams opened their season with the Annual Bay Colony Conference Relay Carnival.
As a combined team Nauset placed second out of 6 teams behind perennial powerhouse Nantucket.
Nauset was led by two record setting performances. The Boys 200 Medley Relay Team or Carlisle Nash, Jack Johnson, Tanner Cornell and Coleman Norton shattered the meet record with a time of 1:44.69. The previous meet record was 1:48.44 and was held by the previous Nauset foursome of Matthias Christensen, Joe McLoughlin, Louie Lebart and Andrew Bulger back in 2006!
Freshman Diver Delaney Smith broke the Girls' School Diving Record in her first ever diving meet. Delaney's Score of 178.25 points also gives her the first of two necessary Sectional qualifying standards.
Jack Johnson was also a member of 2 other winning relays on the day. He combined with Molly Rudman, Abby Ricciardi and Nash to win the 200 Backstroke Relay in a time of 1:57.05. He was then joined by Rudman, Gabby Dadoly and Coleman Norton to win the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 4:11.47.
Also of note was the 200 Butterfly Relay of Catie Crowell, Dadoly, Cornell and Norton who finished second with a time of 1:53.18 which was under the previous meet record.
