The Nauset Girls Swim Team opened their season by impressively beating the Sandwich Blue Knights.

The Girls were led by Sophomore Gabby Dadoly and Senior Captain Brooke Linnell.   Gabby won the 200 Freestyle (2:15.00) and 100 Butterfly (1:08.71) both in personal best times.  Brooke took first in the 50 Freestyle (27.93) and 100 Freestyle (1:01.62).  Freshman Abby Ricciardi won the 500 Freestyle (6:26.88) while Nika Dadoly took first in the 100 Backstroke (1:09.58)  For Ricciardi this was the first time she swam the 500 Freestyle in competition.

Ricciardi and Nika Dadoly both added seconds in the 100 Back and 200 Individual Medley respectively. Helen Gainey added a second in the 50 Freestyle while Hannah Muse took second in both the 200 and 500 Freestyles.  Molly Rudman took second in the 100 Breaststroke and Lauren Schiffenhaus took second in the 100 Freestyle.

Nauset swept all three relay events. Nika, Helen, Gabby and Brooke took the 200 Medley Relay in 2:08.43.  Gabby Dadoly, Schiffenhaus, Rudman and Linnell placed first in the 200 Free Relay at 1:55.79 and Rudman, Schiffenhaus, Ricciardi and Nika Dadoly led the 400 Free Relay in 4:26.99.

After some serious training over the holiday break, Nauset will take on Barnstable as their home opener on January 5.
