The Warrior Varsity Girls' Basketball team fought hard against Barnstable on the road in their first meeting this season, but the team was unable to put up enough points to pull out the win. The game was the tale of two halves: a strong defensive start in the first half gave Nauset the lead (16) while keeping Barnstable to only 14 points, but Molly Bent and the Red Raiders came out in the second half and hit some big shots to open up a lead. The game was back and forth for the third quarter, until Barnstable slowly pulled away to gain a 10 point lead. Jenny Leyton was Nauset's leading scorer with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Carolyn Brooks (5 points), Kayla Smith (4 points), Caitlin Schadt (4 pts), Brittany Silva (2 pts), Kristen Brown (2 pts), and Kallie Hannon (1 pts) also contributed to the scoring column.
