The Nauset Lady Warriors grabbed their second win of the season with a hard earned 57-51 victory at home over the Monomoy Sharks. Kristen Brown hit a big three-pointer with a few minutes left in the first half to help give us a boost and head into the half with a 24-21 lead. In the second half, Nauset's pressure defense wore down the Sharks and stifled their offensive flow in the fourth quarter. Despite three Nauset players fouling out in late minutes of the game and the fact that Monomoy got 32 shots at the charity stripe, the Warriors poured in 22 points in the fourth quarter and limited turnovers which made the difference. Caitlin Schadt and Carolyn Brooks were forces on the boards, pulling down 8 rebounds each, with Callie Schadt and Kayla Smith adding 6 boards each as well.

Jr. Carolyn Brooks gave Nauset an offensive spark throughout the entire game, scoring a season-high 16 points and grabbing 4 steals and Callie Schadt was an invaluable force on defense as well as at the point with 5 assists and 6 boards. Excellent play from Jenny Leyton (13 pts), Kayla Smith (12 pts) and Kristen Brown (9 pts) helped to balance out Nauset's scoring. The Warriors are hungry to follow-up this performance with another win, as they will host Dennis-Yarmouth on Wednesday.
