The Nauset Girls JV basketball team made it three wins in a row to improve its record to 4-1 with a hard-fought 44-42 win. The Warriors trailed 23-16 at halftime yet roared back to take a 2 point lead after three quarters, courtesy of a very effective full court press that held Barnstable to 8 points in the quarter while producing 17 of their own. Leading the way offensively for the Warriors was Savannah Thomas who totaled 21 points.  Maddie Roberts was a strong inside offensive presence as well as she chipped in with 8 important points. Other key factors in the win were rebounding dominance in the second half, which was lead by Roberts and Hope Elliot and an effective half court man to man defense after the press was broken.   Once again the Warriors continue to shoot well from the free throw line.  Nauset was 7-9 lead by Thomas' 4 for 4 effort.  Contributing on the defensive end throughout were forwards Casey Taber and Taylor Field.  Nauset will host Marshfield this Friday in search of their fourth straight victory.
