Girls JV Basketball vs. Plymouth North HS School

The Nauset Girls JV Basketball team got back to its winning ways with a hard-fought, defensive struggle win over Plymouth North 29-27. The story of the night for both teams was tight defense and the will to win. Nauset came out on top courtesy of their full court man-to-man pressure that helped create turnovers and several key baskets down the stretch. Throughout the game Nauset trailed for most parts of each quarter, yet found a way to step up their pressure and convert key shots at the close of each session.

The Warriors were paced offensively by Savannah Thomas with 12 points. She had ample support from Casey Taber (7 points), Katie Hannon and Sam Berry (each with 4 points). The defensive and rebounding stars were Maddie Roberts and Hope Elliot. Each dominated the boards down the stretch. Roberts blocked Plymouth North's game-tying attempt with two seconds remaining and held on to the rebound. Nauset faces Sandwich on the road this coming Friday. The JV Warriors record stands at 5-2.
