| The Nauset Girls JV Basketball team upped its record to 6-2 with a hard fought 48-42 victory over Sandwich. The name of the game for the Warriors in this one was balance, aggressive full-court defensive pressure and rebounding. Eight players contributed to the team's point total, lead by freshman Hope Elliot who tallied 13 points on the night. She accounted for all 11 of the team's points in the decisive second quarter and was dominant on the boards throughout the night. Savannah Thomas added 12 points and was a consistent leader from end to end. Sam Berry was next with 8 points including three key baskets in the second half.
Other stellar performances came from Casey Taber, who lead the team in rebounding and was a ferocious defender in the paint and Katie Hannon, who added five points and solid rebounding as well. The Warriors next face Monomoy this coming Monday in a rematch of their earlier win on 12/21/12.
