The Girls JV Warriors made it four in a row and 8-2 for the season with a hard fought 48-32 victory over the Dennis-Yarmouth Dolphins. Nauset broke open a first quarter tie outscoring D-Y 16-2 in the second quarter to build a halftime lead of 27-13. The full-court pressure defense combined with aggressive rebounding was the difference maker in the second frame. Katie Hannon and Hope Elliot were the rebound leaders and Savannah Thomas added four steals to pace the defensive effort.
Offensively the Warriors continued sharing the wealth. Thomas tallied 13 points, followed by Elliot's 12. The two of them posted 10 of the team's 13 second quarter points. Hannon was next with 7 and both Casey Taber and Sam Berry chipped in with 6. Next up is Falmouth this Friday night at home. The Warriors will be looking to avenge its most lopsided loss of the year.
