The JV Girls Warriors got back to their winning ways with an impressive second half, topping Plymouth South 46-24. Nauset held Plymouth South to seven second half points, blowing open a 23-17 half time lead. The Warriors went back to their old reliable 2-1-2 half court defense which slowed the Plymouth South break and forced them into tough shots on the offensive end. With the win, Nauset's JV Girls team now stands at 9-3 for the season.
The scoring was spread among seven Warriors. Savannah Thomas was the only one in double figures leading Nauset with 14 points. She also was 7-8 from the line and contributed defensively with nine steals. Both Sam Berry and Hope Elliot chipped in with eight points. The Warriors grabbed 41 rebounds (22 offensive) and were lead again by Elliot with 13 in only two quarters of play. Four others grabbed four rebounds apiece to help support her effort. The next game will be a rematch at Marshfield on Tuesday February 5th as Nauset looks to avenge one of its three losses this year.
