Girls JV Basketball vs. Plymouth North HS School

The Nauset Girls JV Basketball team won its second game in as many nights with a tough 31-26 decision over the Plymouth North Eagles. The key to this win for the Warriors was rebounding and a tenacious full-court press that turned the second half around. Nauset held the Eagles to just nine points in the final two periods. The decisive quarter proved to be the third where Nauset's press turned a seven point half time deficit into a two point lead by outscoring their opponent 13-4.

Leading the team defensively was Katie Hannon who tallied five steals and three rebounds. She also lead the Warriors in scoring with ten points. Jenny Tulloch contributed a key five steals as well and had the support of fellow Freshman Hope Elliot who lead all rebounders with ten (eight defensive). Also having a big night on the boards was Casey Taber who totaled eight, four on the offensive end. Nine Warriors figured in the scoring for what was clearly a total team effort. The Warriors stand at 11-4 with their final game of the season Friday night at Dennis-Yarmouth. Nauset defeated the Dolphins in their first meeting 48-32.
