Warriors Wins Home Opener

After a shaky start and being down 0-2 in the top of the first the Nauset Warriors in a seesaw battle beat the previously undefeated Red Raiders of Barnstable 5-4 in 9 innings.

Senior Nick Taber ended the marathon with a walk-off single, his second hit of the day, scoring Noah Grevelis with two out in the ninth. Ray Rowell came on in relief in the 5th to shut the Red Raiders down and secure the victory.

Will Shackelford went 2-4 with a double and RBI, Colin Mason also collected an RBI. All in all the Warriors banged out 10 hits while committing no errors against a tough Barnstable team.

The team will travel to Whitman-Hanson for a noon game on Saturday
