Nauset makes the most of 4 hits in 5-1 victory over Sandwich HS

Both Nauset and Sandwich HS put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the Warriors that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 5-1 win at Sandwich High School.

Sandwich HS got eight hits compared with just four for Nauset, but Sandwich HS stranded seven on base.

Paul Prue picked up the win for Nauset. Prue pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, eight hits and one walk while striking out two.

Nauset didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the third inning when it scored on an RBI double by Trevor Ridley and a sacrifice fly by Sam Majewski.

The Warriors added three more runs in the top of the fourth. A error scored Noah Grevelis to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Sam Majewski's single, scoring Willy Boyd.

In the fifth inning, Sandwich HS pushed across its only run of the day on an RBI single by Kay.
