Dual-threat carries Nauset Regional Warriors Varsity past Marshfield HS 8-1
Nauset beat Marshfield HS 8-1 Tuesday behind both the bat and the arm of Sam Majewski.
Sam Majewski went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Warriors. He singled in the third and fourth innings.
Sam Majewski was a workhorse on the bump while bagging the win for Nauset. Majewski pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out four.
Eight runs in the opening three innings allowed the Warriors to easily put away Marshfield HS. A steal of home by Willy Boyd and a two-run single by Mason Swift in the first inning and an RBI single by Noah Grevelis during the second inning fueled Nauset's offense early.
Eastman was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked three and struck out three.
Nauset piled on four more runs in the bottom of the third. A sacrifice fly scored Sam Majewski to start the scoring in the inning.
