Both Nauset Regional Warriors Varsity and Hingham HS put runners aboard on Monday, but it was Nauset Regional Warriors Varsity that was able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-2 win.

It was a good day at the plate for Nauset's Willy Boyd. Boyd went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Chris Holcomb looked sharp on the mound in his two innings of relief. Hingham HS managed just one hit off of Holcomb, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Sam Majewski (2-0) got the win for Nauset . He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered two hits in his start.

The top of the first saw Hingham HS take an early lead, 1-0. A double by Lussier, plating Nash started the inning off.

The Warriors never trailed after scoring two runs in the first on two ground outs.

Nauset added two more runs in the bottom of the third. A passed ball scored Owen Wilcox to open the scoring in the frame.

The Warriors tacked on another three runs in the fifth. The inning got off to a hot start when Boyd doubled, scoring Noah Grevelis.
