Sherman Merrill's big day not enough, as Nauset loses 12-2 to Marshfield High School
Despite seven hits, Nauset lost 12-2 to Marshfield High School on Tuesday at Nauset High School.
Marshfield High School went up for good in the first, scoring seven runs on a three-run double by eight, a sacrifice fly by four, and two singles.
Two Nauset runs crossed the plate in the bottom half of the third, making the score 9-2. A sacrifice fly by Koki Riley and a steal of home by Ronan Chisholm gave Nauset life.
