Nauset JV Baseball drops 6-5 game to Archbishop Williams, Splits Double-Header
Sam Palmer did all he could to give Nauset a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Archbishop Williams, as the Warriors lost 6-5 in seven innings on Thursday.
Palmer was hot from the plate for Nauset JV Baseball. Palmer went 2-3 and drove in one. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the fifth inning.
James Sandison brought the heat against Archbishop Williams during his outing. Archbishop Williams managed just one hit off of Sandison, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
In the top of the first, Nauset grabbed the early lead, 2-0. The Nauset attack began with a single from Ronan Chisholm. More runs came home for the Warriors when Chisholm scored on a passed ball.
Archbishop Williams went up for good in the third, scoring three runs on two singles.
Archbishop Williams added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Free kicked things off with a single, plating McLelland. That was followed up by Meehan's single, scoring Gervasi.
Nauset scored three runs in the top of the fifth to cut its deficit to one. A two-run double by Harrison Field and an RBI triple by Palmer triggered Nauset's comeback. Owen Farrell to end the Nauset JV Baseball threat.
