SANDWICH HIGH SCHOOL: 2
The boys clinched the ACL title with a 3-2 victory over Sandwich, to finish 8-0 in league play, and currently 10-2 overall. After falling behind 2-0 after 1st doubles and 3rd singles, Kellen Perry played well in his win against Sandwich's #2 in straight sets. At 2nd doubles, senior Captains Tesfu Kerse-McMillin and Caleb Caldwell won, also in straight sets to tie the match. Up a set, but down 2-3, Senior Captain Ben Garside's match was suspended by rain for about an hour. Due to Sandwich team, coach and parents, the court was dry and playable.Ben proceeded to win 4 of the final games and win the overall team match. The true hero was senior Kellen Perry, who played his best match of his Nauset career, to keep Nauset in the match.
