The Nauset Warriors were overwhelmed by Marshfield in their season opener, but posted several impressive marks on their home track. Junior Andrew Burke was the highlight performer of the day, running uncontested to a victory in the 800 meter run with a personal best and state qualifying time of 2:01.
Senior Chad Avery notched a win in the Long Jump with a leap of 18'9". He was second in the triple jump.
Sophomore Nate Overton took second place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.5.
The Warriors will be in action again on Tuesday, April 16 at home against Plymouth North
