Nauset vs. Marshfield Boys

Snowflakes and cool weather couldn’t dampen spirits as Nauset had many personal bests despite falling to Marshfield 74-62.

Senior captain Brian Brooks shattered his previous personal best in the 800M while winning in a 2:00.6 clocking. Jake Whitfield won with a career best in the mile at 4:51.6. Jake Pearl had to settle for a second place in the 400M but his time of 53.6 was an excellent early season effort and also a big personal best..

For the third meet this year Dyllon McNeill won both the 100M (11.4) and 200M (23.8). In the 200M he edged teammate Owen Wilcox (23.9). Wilcox also took second in both the long jump and triple jump.

Will Van Vleck continued his winning ways, posting a first in the 110M Hurdles (17.6) and shot put (39’6”). Van Vleck also added a second in the 400M and third in the discus.

Nauset ‘s other winner was Jeremiah Tessier who won discus bat 97’3”.

Two freshmen added to the scoring. Lucien Seiser was second in high jump and Aidan Handville placed second in javelin (107’4”).

Grabbing thirds to finish out the scoring were Nolan Ellard in long jump, Jacob Pooler in triple jump, Shavar Champagne in 100M and Tyreese Ferguson in 110M hurdles.

Nauset’s record is now 2-1.
