Three Warriors Tops In Track
Nauset produced three league champions at the ACL meet on Tuesday.
Dyllon McNeil repeated as the top sprinter in the league by winning the 100M dash in a time of 11.51. Running into a strong headwind Shavar Champagne (12.11) and Richard Ramsay ( 12.38) placed 5-6. Ramsay was also 5th in long jump (18’9.5”.
Tyreese Ferguson became league champ in the 110M hurdles (16.96) while teammate Matt Cahill placed 3rd (17.82) Cahill was also meet champion in the high jump clearing 6’0” and winning the event by 4”. Bobby Freeman was 3rd in the event at 4’6”.
Senior captain Owen Wilcox placed 2nd in the 200M dash (23.79) and 6th in the long jump (18’8”)
On a night where wind hampered times Brian Brooks (800M-2:00.04) and Jacob Pearl (2 mile-10:06.14) posted lifetime bests.
In the discus Aidan Handville threw 105’6.5” and Jeremiah Tessier threw 102’1, both Pos and good for 4th and 6th places. In javelin reshman Handville finished just out of the scoring, placing 7th with a PR 118’10”.
Nolan Ellard placed 4th in the 800M at 2:11.41 while Chris Pombo did the same in 400MHurdles 1:06.79.
Christian Augat posted 6th in the triple jump with a PR 35’4” while Jacob Pooler was 7th (33’5.5”)
Nauset placed 3rd with 88 points behind winner Marshfield (121 points) and runner-up Falmouth (102 points).
