MSTCA Auerbach Freshman/Sophomore Track and Field Championship

It would be an understatement that the Nauset Warriors had an outstanding day on the track. The Warriors posted nine medal-winning performances including two event winners.

Warrior girls grabbed eight of those medal performances. Izzy Nobili garnered the meet’s Outstanding Runner Award after she won the 800M run with a PR 2:20.73 and 15 minutes later anchored the third place 4X800M relay with a 2:24 split.

Freshman Sophie Christopher won the 400M hurdles at 1:10.43 while Abby Qvarnstrom won an unseeded heat and placed seventh overall.

In the 100M hurdles Hannah Gale placed 2nd at 16.89 while teammate Lillian Manganaro placed 5th in 17.75.

Nauset also got a second place finish in the 400M dash by Kara Moore who’s 1:00.50 was her seasonal PR and her second fastest ever.

Rachel Pranga placed third in the mile at 5:25.41 and was the leadoff runner on the 3rd place 4X800m with Nobili, Manganaro and Abigale Farrell. Farrell had already posted a 5th place finish in the two mile at 12:18.35.

Nauset boys had one placement on the day, that being a 5th place finish in the 4X100m relay. The team consisted of Shaver Champagne, Christian Augat, Chris Pombo and Richard Ramsay. (46.82)
