Nauset girls didn’t let a little rain slow them down on the track where they set PR’s at a number of distances. Rachel Pranga set a positive tone early by winning the freshman mile with a lifetime best of 5:24.14. Freshman Izzy Nobili placed third in the varsity 800M with a school record time of 2:18.41.

Also placing was the 4X100M relay of Hannah Gale, Rebekah Pranga, Alena O’Connor and Kara Moore. Although running in unseeded heat they ran the third fastest time of the day at 52.23. Each was running their second event of the day.

Senior Tara Ellard had her best two mile time of the year placing 7th at 11:35.75. Also in that event sophomore Abigale Farrell pr’d at 12:10.64.

Freshman Sophie Christopher was 9th in the 400M hurdles at 1:09.67 and Kara Moore was 9th in the 400M run in 1:00.47 - both their fastest clockings of the season.

Nauset will next hit the track on Tuesday afternoon at Dennis-Yarmouth High School as they compete in the ACL Championships.
