North Attleboro 103 - Nauset 33

Nauset travelled to perennial D2 powerhouse North Attleboro on Tuesday. Despite falling to the Red Rocketeers, the warriors had some great early season performances.

Monique Malcolm and Abigale Farrell starred for Nauset by winning two events each vs. a strong North Attleboro squad.

Malcolm won both the 100M (12.3) and 200M (25.8). Her time in the 100M is a new Nauset school record. Farrell took both the mile (5:39) and two mile (12:06). Izzy Nobili made it a clean sweep in distance for the Warriors by winning the 800M in 2:31.0.

Sydney Griffin added a second place finish in the discus with a big PR of 86’3”. Sophie Christopher also took 2nd place in the 400M Hurdles at 71.7.

Kara Moore (200M-28.5) and Haile Wilcox (400M-72.4) grabbed thirds.

Though just missing out in placing, frosh Rose Freeman pr’d at 4’8” in the high jump, a height also reached by Moore in her first meet of the season.

Nauset is now 1-2. Next up is a home meet against Falmouth next Tuesday.
