Nauset girls score big win vs. Falmouth 101-34
Rebekah Pranga won the three events and anchored a winning relay while Monique Malcolm and Izzy Nobili each won two events.
Pranga won long jump (15’0”), triple jump (31’9.5”) and 400M dash (63.8). In the 400M she was followed by Kara Moore in 2nd place (65.1) and Hailee Wilcox in third (70.9). Moore won high jump at 4’8” followed by Rose Freeman at 4’6”.
Sophie Christopher was second in both horizontal jumps (LJ-14’8)(TJ-31’2.5)while winning the 400MHurdles . Abigail Qvarnstrom placed 2nd in that event.
Monique Malcolm continued undefeated in both the 100M (12.5) and 200M (25.6) this year, winning that even in all four of Nauset’s meets. Sydney Griffin added a third place in the dash to go with her win in the discus at a PR 88’3”. Cali Griffin placed 3rd in the 200 at 30.9.
Nobili ran her fastest 800M of the season to win in an impressive 2:26 followed closely by Abigale Farrell in second (2:32). Nobili added her first win in the javelin at 74’2”. Stephanie Gould placed third in java for her first varsity points in that event.
In the mile it was Farrell first (5:42.7) followed by Nobili (5:57.8) and Ella Kelly (5:59.3).
Rachel Pranga won the two mile (12:33) followed by Hannah Brunelle (13:05).
Senior captain Claire Conerly had a lifetime PR in shot put with a 29’1” effort.
Nauset took 2-3 in the 100M hurdles with Lillian Manganaro (18.5) and Hannah Gale (18.6).
Nauset ended the meet by winning the 4X400M with the team of Moore, Christopher, Qvarnstrom and Rachel Pranga.
