Nauset / Cape Tech center Tess Macdonald fired home a shot just less than two minutes into the opening period to give the team a 1-0 early lead.

The co-op found itself playing defensive hockey for most of the next two periods and goaltender Mae Maclellan turned aside countless shots in a stellar effort. defense men Lexi Griffin , Sydney Terrio , Sarah Chase and Connie Lamotte, helped out in the zone to keep the puck out of the net.

After some equally nice offensive oppurtunities by forwards Macdonald , Erin Sullivan , Amanda Rich and Madison Pawlina , Alyssa Garneau found the back of the net for the Warriors/Crusaders second tally , with assists going to Amanda Rich and Sydney Terrio.

The Team Play picked it up a notch in the third period and supplied the crowd with some better overall play . Wing Brooke Steele showed some great determination and forwrds Bella Bachand, Darby Gavin , Ariana Herlihy and Amanda Nickerson contributed at both ends of the ice.
