The girls ice hockey team wasted little time getting off the bus and scoring just 20 seconds into the game as Freshman winger Blue Fancy took a sophomore Kim Gallagher pass out of her own zone and went the length of the ice to make it 1-0. After a Matignon score, Fancy struck again on a beautiful pass play from sophomore Brianna Cowing and freshman Lauren Monger. An equalizer by Matignon late in the first got the Crusading Warriors fired up and Senior Jessica Whalen made a picture perfect wing to defense pass to freshman Elsa Lalone who let go a 55 foot rocket from the point and past the Matignon netminder. Monger closed out the first period with a hard working play at the net with Fancy assisting.

The second period saw two more goals by the visitors, Cowing from Fancy and Monger on a tenacious forecheck and freshman Cathryn "Cat" Ready on a great individual effort. Fancy completed the scoring in the third with her hat trick goal with assists going to Ready and Monger.

Senior goaltender Jessica Grindell made 21 saves on the night with two key breakaway stops late in the game. Senior defensemen Hannah Garside, Lexi Griffin, and Darby Gavin all had strong play on the blueline, and senior Britney Worth and sophomore Brooke Steele played solid two way games.
