BMW took advantage of some early confusion by the CTN squad and jumped out to a 3-0 lead The Warriors never gave up and if not for some point blank saves by the BMW goaltender, the home team nearly pulled a valiant comeback.

Emily Silvestri played a strong game in goal , turning aside 29 shots. Blue Fancy scored the lone goal by the Crusading Warriors . Brianna Cowing made a strong backcheck through the neutral zone , causing a BMW player to cough up the puck and Darby Gavin made a nice dish to Fancy who weaved through the defense and used a dangling stick handle to beat the bewildered BMW goalie.

Brooke Steele nearly closed the lead on a late blast from the slot and Cathryn Ready and Kim Gallagher played steady defense all game .
