Marie Chamberlain earns ALL-AMERICA Consideration

Marie Chamberlain achieved aquatic excellence this season as she became the first Nauset Swimmer in program history to become a DOUBLE State Champion, winning both the 100 yd butterfly (56.44) and 100 yd backstroke (56.09) at the MIAA Div. 2 All-State Swimming and Diving Championships held at Springfield College, Feb. 16, 2013.

Last year she took home her second backstroke state title as a sophomore at the Div. 2 All-State Championships held at Harvard University, becoming an All-American in the process, securing her name on the same list as Missy Franklin- (2012 Olympic Gold Medalist). She also became the first female ALL-AMERICAN at Nauset Regional High School. But one State title wasn't enough for Chamberlain. This year she raised the bar and set her sights on two titles. She also earned All-America consideration for both events (100 yd fly, 100 yd back) putting her in an elite class of the best high school swimmers in the USA.

Such success takes endless hours of dedication.

We congratulate Marie for this outstanding feat!
